FreedomPop is well renowned as a virtual mobile provider that has been providing free SIM card service to its current customer base, in tandem with other valuable services such as free talk time and free texting. To further expand on that idea, as a recent article on VentureBeat has noted, this group is presently lobbying to allow for free and unlimited access to WhatsApp messaging app. This change will allow its clients to use the messaging service free of charge and will not impact the customer’s existing or ongoing data balance. So far, this option has only been rolled out for patrons based in Spain, but FreedomPop is hoping to expand soon.  Normally, a partnership with Facebook is needed to access the app, but FreedomPop has successfully circumvented this requirement. Furthermore, FreedomPop offers perks including free roaming within the United States and the United Kingdom, to name just a few of its markets.  Since WhatsApp boasts over a billion users at present, such a liaison between these two entities can create a win-win for both these parties and their customers alike!
